We are now looking for a coordinator for a recently established operation, the children's home Lyan in Lindesberg municipality. Are you the one we are looking for?
At the home, children in middle school age with neuropsychiatric disabilities reside. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the operation. Organizationally, the home falls under the Funktionsstöd (Functional Support) within the Social Administration. Within Funktionsstöd, there are group and service housing, personal assistance, daily activities, and short-term accommodation for children and young people.
Our mission is to provide residents with disabilities, regardless of age, the support and assistance they need for their daily living based on legal and approved decisions. Operations according to LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) should work to promote equality and participation in society. Individuals should have the opportunity to live like others and be assured of good living conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a coordinator, you are responsible for leading and distributing the daily work within the team. You provide support to employees, both in groups and individually. In your work, you are responsible for contact and collaboration with schools, social services, and other networks, as well as actively working with implementation plans and continuous documentation.
As a coordinator, you will support the child in their daily life together with your colleagues and contribute to a safe home environment. You will support a child during their upbringing and enable the child's development. We work with methods such as low-arousal approach (LAB) and clarifying pedagogy. You will assist and support the child in all situations such as personal care, meals, walks, play situations, and other daily activities. The work includes regular household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and washing dishes.
The working hours at the facility are according to a schedule distributed over daytime, evening, weekend, and awake night shifts.
You will primarily work during the day but with varied working hours to support the team. The role is primarily administrative, but you are expected to work in the facility for part of your working hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a post-secondary education as a social worker, preschool teacher, support educator, or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer.
- You have knowledge and experience working with the target group of children with neuropsychiatric disabilities.
- A valid driver's license B for manual transmission is required as travel occurs in the position.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
- Experience with low-arousal approach (LAB) is an advantage.
As a person, you take responsibility for your and the group's tasks. You are flexible and have a desire to contribute. You enjoy solving problems and have a development-oriented approach. Furthermore, you are trustworthy and have an easy time making contacts, while also having good collaboration skills and working to ensure the child gets what they need. You adapt the way you communicate your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions even under time pressure.

According to the law, everyone working in operations with children under 18 years must present a valid extract from the police criminal record at the time of employment.
